The combination of a one week trial period followed by a ten minute recording limit after the week has expired provides a comfortable balance between programs that simply stop working after a couple of weeks or those which cripple recording abilities with limits measured in seconds.

You can record anything that you can feed into your soundcard: this means that you can record LP's, cassettes, CD's and minidiscs or direct speech from a microphone source. With modern, duplex soundcards, you can also record anything that you can play, including MIDI files or streamed audio from the Internet. Existing files can be processed and converted. CD's can be digitally ripped , ensuring no loss of quality.

You can record your material to a single file limited only by the format you choose (200 minutes for a CD quality WAV, essentially unlimited for MP3, WMA etc) and the space on your hard disc. Recordings can also be split into separate songs automatically using auto-track or manually using the track button.
